2016 IPI / IPI Wealth Firm Element Continuing Education Requirement Starts Next Friday
Developmental learning is important in assisting in your continued growth and industry knowledge while also fulfilling regulatory requirements. All IPI and IPI Wealth Management advisors will be required to complete the Annual Compliance Meeting, Annual Compliance Questionnaire and up to four (4) Firm Element Courses for 2016. The courses are again being offered through Quest CE this year. On July 1, 2016, you will receive an email from Quest providing instructions on how to access your Quest account. You will also have the option to purchase Insurance CE courses directly from your Quest account. Additionally, the course catalog for Quest CE will be added to the Compliance tab on the Advisor Site at the end of August in case you would like to take additional courses this year. There are no additional fees for adding other Quest developed courses; however, additional costs would apply for FINRA or insurance courses.
As you did in 2015, your annual attestations will be completed in one easy and succinct session through Quest CE’s Annual Compliance Questionnaire.
Additionally, for those advisors who attended the Compliance session(s) at the IPI Advance meeting in Scottsdale and/or the IPI Summer Conference in St. Louis, we wanted to provide you a benefit from your participation at these meetings. Those advisors will receive up to two (2) credits of IPI Firm Element CE for attending the Compliance presentations (1 credit per each session attended). Therefore, if you only went to St. Louis and attended the Dementia session on Thursday, June 16 and Compliance round table on Friday, June 17 then you will receive 1 credit and only have to complete three (3) of the four (4) Firm Element courses. If you were in Scottsdale and St. Louis and attended both Compliance sessions, you will receive 2 credits and only be required to complete two (2) of the four (4) Firm Element courses. If you were at either/both of those events (i.e. taking a nap, at the tables, etc.), but failed to attend the actual Compliance sessions, you will not receive credit. We appreciate your understanding and respect for these parameters. Please know that Compliance tracked the attendees at both of these sessions and your course selections will reflect your attendance. Any questions, call Renee to discuss if you have questions on this topic.
The launch of this year’s CE program will start next Friday on July 1, 2016, with completion required by August 31, 2016. The cost is once again $75.00 per advisor which includes the Annual Compliance Meeting, Annual Compliance Questionnaire and up to four (4) Firm Element Courses. The cost will be the same, regardless if you take two (2) or four (4) Firm Element Courses.
Lori Kidd will be sending out the CE invoices on July 1, 2016. If you would like to pay by check, please send a check for $75.00 to Accounting and make it payable to IPI Wealth Management, Inc. If a check is not received by July 15, 2016, $75.00 will be deducted from your commissions/fees the week ending July 22, 2016. Any questions on invoicing/payment should be directed to Accounting to either Lori Kidd, email@example.com or Amber Justice, firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you have any questions or concerns about CE, please let us know. Thanks, Renee and Julie C.
